On Sunday 9th July we held an Open Air Baptism Service at The Harvest Centre in Brandon.
This Baptisms were also marked with the story of a miracle.
We baptised a lady (the second one in the video with the lower pool) who used to suffer two epileptic seizures every day. These episodes were so frequent that the doctor asked her to always wear a special soft hat to protect her head during these seizures.
When a few months ago she approached me and asked to be baptised, she was very concerned about her physical condition as she was afraid that the nervousness, and the emotions of the moment, would trigger one of these seizures. We prayed, and encouraged her not to be afraid of this as God would have given her the strength.
She was baptised along seven other people on Sunday 9th of July.
A few Sundays after she approached me again, and I immediately noticed that she wasn’t wearing the soft hat that had always contradistinguished her from other people.
She shared with me about the fact that since she got baptised she hasn’t suffered a single epileptic seizure! It is now nearly two weeks since she got baptised, and she is well!!
We praise Jesus for His grace, power, and goodness!
And another amazing testimony:
Justine, the last young woman in the video, gave her life to Jesus on that very Sunday, and decided to get baptised on the spot.
We knew this girl as she had been a few times in church, she used to be very much into New Age, meditation, and other occult practises. That Sunday she made the radical decision to give her life to Jesus, to be baptised, and to start following Him.
When she went home after the baptism, she got rid of all the New Age and occult items that she possessed.
The day after (Monday) one of her neighbours whom she never met before (apparently this woman is very strange as she never goes out from her home), knocked at Justine’s door and invited her for a coffee to her place. Justine went there, and shortly after that her neighbour started to physically assault her, she pulled some of her hairs off, and scratched her all over the place. The police eventually arrived and arrested this woman.
The interesting detail is that before assaulting Justine, this woman said to her “You’re not going anywhere without me”.
Of all the sentences that she could have come up with, this is a very interesting one.
As I said, Justine was involved quite a lot with occultism, and we think that this woman who attacked her was under demonic influence, and that somehow the devil was not happy in seeing Justine abandoning him and making this step of faith towards Jesus.
Justine was impressed by all of this, but at the same time she is at peace and she said that she feels clean. To see the devil being not happy with her decision to follow Christ, has given her an even deeper conviction that she has done the right decision and that now she belongs to Jesus.
