AUG 2025
On 3rd August, Raymond preached on water baptism, teaching that the New Testament norm was to repent, be baptised, and be filled with the Holy Spirit—not to wait for years. Three people responded, so we decided to hold baptisms the following Sunday. We were thrilled to baptise two of them, both of whom shared moving testimonies about why they wanted to follow Jesus and be baptised.
At the end of the service, a young man who attends our church stood up and said, *“I want to be baptised today.”*
Someone quickly dashed to his home to pick up spare clothes and bring his mum, while the rest of us chatted and had coffee. Then we gathered everyone together again, and Fabrice—who had just been baptised—was asked to help baptise this young man. When he came up out of the water, his face was beaming with joy. The church was greatly encouraged.
(The following Sunday, we baptised another lady who hadn’t been able to take part the previous week.)
